Which light sensor do I need?

Which light sensor do I need?

LogIT World Support solution: This depends on what you wish to measure.  The following is a guide.

Light studies in the range close to the human eye – Use the LUX sensor as it has a spectral range equivalent to the human eye. (D100073)

Bright outdoor studies – Use the SPX LUX sensor as it has a large range.  Always point the sensor at a white piece of paper/card rather than directly at the sun as over range will cause an issue. (D100095)

Basic studies of LUX in the lab or classroom – Smart Eye sensor.  This is a basic sensor which can also be used as a makeshift light gate when used in conjunction with a light source such as a torch etc. (D100159)
